The performance of fluorocarbon coating on aluminum profiles is determined by its own performance. It is necessary for the spraying equipment to ensure excellent atomization effect and uniformity of the sprayed layer. The dispersion of metal particles in fluorocarbon coating directly affects the appearance of the coating. The fluorocarbon coating with average coating and excellent quality has a metallic luster, prominent color, and significant flatness. The use of unsuitable spraying equipment for fluorocarbon spray coating can result in uneven color, surface shadows, or weak coating.
Multi layer spraying technology involves three sprays (referred to as three sprays), including primer, topcoat, topcoat, and topcoat, as well as secondary sprays (primer, topcoat).
1. Attempt at pre-treatment: Before stopping spraying on aluminum alloy profiles and plates, the surface of the workpiece needs to undergo degreasing, cleaning, and chemical treatment to form a chrome film, add coating and metal surface separation force and oxidation resistance, which is beneficial for extending the service life of the paint film.
2. Primer coating: As a primer coating that closes the substrate, its effect is to improve the coating's resistance to penetration, strengthen the maintenance of the substrate, stabilize the metal surface layer, enhance the adhesion between the topcoat and the metal surface, and ensure the color uniformity of the topcoat coating. The thickness of the paint layer is usually 5-10 microns.
3. Topcoat coating: Topcoat coating is a key layer of spray coating, which is used to supply the decoration color required for aluminum materials, make the appearance of aluminum meet the design requirements, and maintain the metal surface from corrosion caused by external environmental factors such as atmosphere, acid rain, and pollution, and prevent ultraviolet rays from penetrating. The anti-aging ability is greatly enhanced. The finishing coat is the thickest paint layer in spraying, and the thickness of the paint layer is usually 23-30 microns.
4. Topcoat coating: Topcoat coating, also known as clear coat coating, is primarily intended to effectively enhance the paint layer's ability to resist external corrosion, maintain the topcoat coating, add the metallic luster of the topcoat color, and make the appearance more colorful and dazzling. The coating thickness is usually 5-10 microns. The total thickness of the three spray coatings is usually 40-60 microns, and can be thickened for special requirements.
5. Curing treatment: Three spray coatings usually require secondary curing, and aluminum materials are treated in a curing furnace. The curing temperature is usually between 180 ℃ and 250 ℃, and the curing time is 15-25 minutes. Different fluorocarbon coating manufacturers will supply the best temperature and time according to their own coatings. Some chlorine carbon spraying factories (oil factories) also change the two curing during the three spraying to one curing based on personal experience.
