If the belt speed continues to increase, the belt conveyor will enter a runaway state. If it is not restrained or parked, the machine head may be buried, and even the tail of the previous belt conveyor may be affected (once this situation occurs, a lot of coal cleaning operations need to be carried out, which not only increases the labor intensity of workers, but also affects the entire system); Serious mechanical and personal accidents will occur, which are definitely not allowed to occur in coal mines. For this situation, the commonly used braking methods for downward belt conveyors include hydraulic braking equipment, hydraulic braking equipment, disc braking equipment, etc. However, these types of braking equipment are relatively expensive and require more protection. Therefore, we have planned a simpler damping device for the braking problem of downward belt conveyors.
The principle of this operation is to add a static damping device to the carrying section of the conveyor belt. During operation, it will generate a conflict force on the conveyor belt, overcome the downward sliding force of the material, and increase the damping force to achieve the purpose of deceleration. There are two vertical rollers installed on each side of this device, which can prevent the belt from deviating during operation.

1. The upper outer surface of this equipment is slightly lower than the upper plane of the upper groove type roller, which will not conflict with the belt during idle operation and when the load is small, and can protect the belt to a certain extent. When the load reaches a certain level, the tape will touch the damping device under the influence of material gravity. The larger the load and the larger the touch area, the greater the conflict and the more significant the damping effect.
2. During the operation of the belt, if there is uneven conflict between the belt and the damping plate, the belt will deviate. At this moment, the vertical rollers on both sides of this equipment can also play a role in preventing deviation.
3. This set of equipment is purely mechanical, with a simple structure and convenient protection. It can be installed in any direction on the longitudinal beam of the fuselage relying on U-shaped clamps and bolts.
The coal storage in our country is mainly inclined, relaxed, and skewed. The best solution is to directly transport the coal seam downwards with inclined conveyors. This equipment will be widely used on conveyor belts.
