Belt conveyors are used in different transportation professions, and the deviation of the conveyor belt on the conveyor belt during use is often a problem that confuses users. To address this issue, China Roll Industry Network has collected and compiled an article on how to handle the problem of conveyor belt deviation. We hope it will be helpful for your work.
Belt deviation is the most common problem during the operation of a belt conveyor. To deal with such problems, it is important to pay attention to the accuracy of the device's scale and regular protection and maintenance.
There are various factors that can cause deviation, and they need to be treated differently based on different factors.
1、 Adjust the bearing roller group
When the belt of the belt conveyor deviates in the middle of the entire belt conveyor, the orientation of the roller group can be adjusted to adjust the deviation; During production, the holes on both sides of the roller group are machined with growth holes for adjustment. The detailed method is to determine which side the belt is biased towards, which side of the roller group moves forward towards the direction of the belt, or which side moves backward towards the other side. If the belt deviates in the upward direction, the lower part of the roller group should move to the left, and the upper part of the roller group should move to the right.
2、 Device centering roller set
There are various types of self-aligning roller groups, such as central shaft type, four-bar linkage type, vertical roller type, etc. The principle is to use obstruction or rollers to roll in the horizontal plane to obstruct or generate lateral thrust, so that the belt can actively move towards the center and achieve the intention of adjusting the belt deviation. It is usually reasonable to choose this method when the total length of the belt conveyor is short or when the belt conveyor is running in both directions, as shorter belt conveyors are more prone to deviation and difficult to adjust. It is best not to use this method for long belt conveyors, as the use of self-aligning rollers will inevitably affect the service life of the belt.
3、 Adjust the orientation of the drive drum and the steering drum
The adjustment of the driving drum and the reversing drum is an important part of adjusting belt deviation. Due to the fact that a belt conveyor has at least 2 to 5 rollers, the orientation of all rollers must be straight to the centerline of the conveyor's length direction. If the deviation is too large, it will inevitably cause a deviation. The adjustment method is similar to adjusting the roller group. For the head drum, if the belt deviates to the right of the drum, the right bearing seat should move forward. If the belt deviates to the left of the drum, the left bearing seat should move forward. Correspondingly, the left bearing seat can also be moved backward or the right bearing seat can be moved backward. The adjustment method of the tail drum is exactly opposite to that of the head drum. Adjust the belt repeatedly until it reaches the desired position. It is best to accurately determine the orientation of the drive or drum before adjusting it.
4、 Adjustment at the tensioning point
The adjustment of belt tension is a very important step in the adjustment of belt conveyor deviation. The two deflection rollers at the upper part of the heavy hammer tensioning point should not only be straight along the length direction of the belt, but also straight along the vertical line of gravity, ensuring that their axis centerlines are horizontal. When using spiral tensioning or hydraulic cylinder tensioning, the two bearing seats of the tensioning drum should move together to ensure that the drum axis is straight with the longitudinal direction of the belt. The detailed adjustment method for belt deviation is similar to the adjustment at the drum.
